"Welcome to the team then, Paulina! Glad to have you here." A gold flit zooms onto his shoulder and his grin widens. "Yes, Lil, we have a new face." Turning back to her, he nods and brushes a hand through his hair. "Our first apprentice. I'm Veystak, I'm the runner man. My son Mylak deals mostly with the herdbeasts, and Jent's our Journeyman, he deals with the canines. Need anything, just ask one of us, or flag Lil here down and tie a note." Looking thoughtful for a moment, he continues. "I think we'll need a few more apprentices to begin training, but in the meantime you can get yourself settled in the quarters and have a look around, but don't get any of the runners out or anything." Smiling at this he nods again. "Good to have you here, glad people are taking interest in the domestic stock of Pern."
