Subject: Settling in

Yndor threw his pack onto the bed and opened it, taking out a hide he had tanned and placing it on his bedside table, putting his lunch on top of it. He then drew out of his pack some oil, to oil Rond and Samnut. They eagerly flew over for his ministrations, then chirped, flying off to have a sunning on the roof. He had saved a few marks for the next Gather, maybe now he would use those to spruce up his room. Anyway, he grabbed the bowl of chowder, blowing it to diminish the heat emanating fiercely from it. He smiled and dunked a meatroll in it, waving his hands when the hot liquid burned his mouth. But it was good, and soon the meal was gone. Then he took a deep gulp of the klah, sighing contentedly on his bed, deciding to take a short nap.
