Apollogies everyone, the date for the Annual Thames boat trip is this
Wednesday 3rd October.

Come along with your mates and have a laugh.

Tickets are ?0 to members and ?2 to non-members, this includes
the cost of the trip and a FREE drink at Bar latitude first.

Meet time is 20:00 at Bar latitude and returns at 1:00 to Greenwich
Pier.

Tickets available from Avery hill Student Union office or Sparrows
Farm bar. There are only 250 places available so get your ticket
early! (If you cannot make it to Averyhill ring me, James Harvey, on
0208 331 9599).

Do you live in Medway or Dartford?

Do you want to come to the Student JobFair on Saturday?

Although the JobFair is based in Woolwich, the Employment
Services team will be using a sophisticated form of IT to match you
to jobs where you live or study.

There will also be a Disability Adviser and a Lone Parent Adviser
plus local companies who are actively recruiting student staff.

So if you want a part-time job - doing something you really want to
do - near where you live or study - then come along. The event is
totally FREE.

If you want a ticket for the coach (there will be a ? refundable
deposit - preferably by cheque) then see Gill Burton in Student
Services, Medway, or Jenny Humphrey in Dartford Student
Services.

The coach will leave at 10.30am on Saturday from Medway
Gatehouse, and will leave Dartford at 11.00am from Dartford
Gatehouse and will return from Woolwich at 1.15pm.

The bus will only run if there is sufficient demand - so go along to
Gill as soon as possible and book your place!

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR STUDENT RESOURCE
CARD WITH YOU.

There are rooms available in University-managed accommodation in Blackheath, London (accessible for students studying at the Maritime Greenwich Campus).

Details of Accommodation:

Hollyhedge House, Wat Tyler Road, Blackheath



The flats at Hollyhedge House are part of the University's Head Leasing Scheme which is managed by Beaver Housing Association in co- operation with the University. There are 30 rooms in total in 6 self- catering flats with 5 bedrooms and shared bathroom and kitchen facilities and a shared lounge. Each room contains a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The flats are located on the heath and are about a 5 minute walk to Blackheath Village. The accommodation is approximately 20 minutes walk through Greenwich Park to the Maritime Greenwich Campus (there are no direct bus routes).

At this time, there are 7 vacancies:
3 in one flat at a cost of ?1.97,?0.01 and ?6.02
2 in one flat at ?1.97
1 in one flat at ?6.02
1 in one flat at ?6.02
