Subject: *Grins* Hythe, it's head to head, and L'van says hi.

Dragon instinct is limited to the here and now, with no ability to control or anticipate. Mankind exists in partnership with them to supply wisdom and order.

Rinali stirred, sighed, looked up from the large, wher-hide bound volume in her hands to see her dragon. The writer had failed to mention that riders were also there to prevent queens from becoming too full of themselves…
I heard that.
Did you, lovey?
Lilith looked at her rider from her sleeping couch. Dragons had no eyebrows to raise, but the sidelong look that the queen gave Rinali was very human indeed. The first words Lilith had ever said to Rinali were ‘I am a queen’. The gold dragon had lived up to her colour very well.
Do not patronise me!
I didn’t!
Rinali grinned, running a hand through her dark brown hair, her dark eyes ful of amusement. She and Lilith had had many such conversations as this in the time they had known each other, and both used them as a source of entertainment. Lilith made a noise very like a ‘Huh!’, and turned her back to her rider, pulling one large wing over her head.
Don’t moan!
I do not moan. I offer alternative suggestions.
Oh, really?
Rinali shook her head and smiled to herself. When talking to Lilith, arguing was ‘debating’, and moaning was ‘offering alternative suggestions’. Will she ever admit that she’s just plain grouchy…?
Do not moan!
I do not moan. Came the instant reply. I offer alternative suggestions.
