Eric, first of all, stay away from the "gain" settings... this only adds "noise" (grain, color shift, etc.) to your video. If you can't get you hands on a light kit, then you must work with "natural" light sources,i.e., lamps, windows etc. You must place your camera so that these natural light sources fuction as your "Key Light". work close to windows and use reflectors to fill this natural light source. The final solution must be, Lights! get them and learn to use them. Ricardo
