Subject: Jersey Sharks Pre-Freeze Game Schedule is Available!

Here are some things to keep in mind:

Schedule Requests - We have received many requests for late start times due to the PSAT testing on Saturday. Each of these requests were recorded in the order received, and every effort was made to accommodate as many as possible. We are pleased to say that we were successful in a large number of cases. Of course, we were not able to grant every request received. Please review your scheduled games times to ensure that all games will be played as scheduled. Due to the number of teams involved, no schedule changes will be made.

College Showcase tournaments are primarily intended to display the talents and abilities of your players, and we are sure that everyone will want to avoid forfeits at all costs. If you feel that you must withdraw from the event, please tell us immediately so that we can bring in a replacement team from the waiting list.

Registration & Check-In: You are required to check you team in with the tournament director of your complex at least 1 hour before your first scheduled game. Have a copy of your proof of Insurance, Team Roster and Birth Certificates. You will be given a tournament pack that includes a copy of your schedule, maps of the fields, schedule of Sunday Elimination play, and 3 Game MVP Awards (see further explanation, below).

Information & Assistance: If you have any questions or concerns, please see one of the Jersey Shark Tournament personnel wearing the Teal Shirts marked "STAFF". They will be glad to assist you in any way possible.

Complexes - All Softball complexes have both bathrooms and concession stands available. Maps and directions to Stauffer, Woodbury and Glassboro Complexes are available on the website. Directions to the Bellmawr complex will be posted shortly. All complexes are located within 10 to 20 minutes drive from each other, and directions will be available at each site.

Game MVP Awards: At the end of each game (as the teams are coming on the field for the handshake), each Team Manager will announce their choice for the Game MVP from the opposing team. You can base your choice on any basis you like (best hit, best defensive play, etc). We know that the players really appreciate this, as many times they don't even know the opposing coach. This eliminates personal feeling, and the players know that this is truly based on their outstanding efforts.

Game Status / Elimination Play Schedules: Each complex will have information on games played. Brackets for Sunday's elimination rounds will also be posted on our website as quickly as possible after the end of Saturday's play. In addition, the Tournament Director for your age group will call your team's designated contact with seeding information as quickly as possible after the completion of Saturday's play.

Tournament Shirts - Limited quantities of our Tournament Shirts will be available at both complexes. Supplies are limited, so you'll want to make sure you get the sizes you need while they last!
