Howdy Gang,

Yeah, I'm writing about a bike race, but this one is actually in San Francisco this Sunday, Sept.9

No I'm not racing in it, but Lance Armstrong and about 100 or so other pro riders are.

It starts at 9:00 am
the start/finish line is on the Ema\barcadero near the Ferry Building.

The course is a ten-mile loop mostly north and west of the start finish area, that they ride a bunch of times (including some of those steep SF hills). The race should take about five hours for 125 miles.

My plan is to watch the start on TV (allegedly five hours of live coverage on KGO/ABC) then ride my bike onto BART and go over for the second half of the race.

You can check out www.velonews.com for a story and course map.

Jonathan
