Well, I thought this site was discontinued because I was not able to access it a few weeks ago. Anyway,you West Coasters seem pretty interconnected, and I often feel left out. Betty is doing well, and I try to see her twice a week. She came for supper last Sunday (chicken, veggies, fruit, bread), and I helped her wrap presents there a few days ago--we had a lot of laughs. She really misses her home, but although she appears to be several cuts above most of the patients, she has a very complicated health scenario that needs frequent monitoring and constant attention. If she wants to go home, she has not made a big effort to suggest it to her doctor or us, as she once did--it's more like a whimper--or a tear. She would need lots of help, and that is hard to find.
