Then I remember the pups,Don't Be Selfish Grettle, Don'T Be Selfish! I tell myself. I shake the horror out of my eyes, and nod confidentally, although beneath my matted fur, and my bold look, i feel my stomach shiver, and a cold feeling swipes my body, leaving me stiff with fear and my mind reels at the possibilities. At least I know Fang cares. I shutter slightly and look into Dusts eyes. "I'll be fine....and if I'm not...could make sure Donte` and Taffie and everyone's OK? Tell them all how much they mean to me?" I ask while silent tears spill down my muzzle. I shake my head,"Its not good-bye, its see you later" I mumble barely audable...although a small part of my heart nags at me, telling me that I better say my good-byes now, instead of thinking there will always be a tomorrow.
