I think this is a good thing to clear up as I have wondered. I "camp" sometimes, but then again that's why I play the sniper arena.
When I initially found this arena it immediately conjured up "enemy at the gates", a kind of sniper versus sniper arena where getting the best spot means everything. This is a very good concept and I think its why alot of people play. In fact I think a great idea would be a world war two set of maps for snipers.
I have found through trial and error, that you cannot camp forever in one spot. Its boring for one, two everyone knows where you are at anyways (well most people).
I understand some guys like to jump around in the center like "a bunch of Kansas City Faggots" (Blazing Saddles). However, I play for the slower pace then the typical bunch of hopping 12 year olds you get in regular unreal deathmatch, which I can't stand. So I camp every once in awhile just so I don't ruin my buzz having to hop around all the time.
If you choose to call me a "camper" that's fine, I really don't give a shit anyways. I think some people are naive in thinking that alot of people don't come into the arena with the idea of true sniping, or "camping". I find it to be great fun and entertaining. It is what keeps people coming into this arena. Who would want to play deathmatch with sniper rifles if it wasn't. If you look at the maps it is very balanced so if you wanted to nail a camper nailing you, you can do so easily, I know I hunt campers all the time.
Just my two cents.
