Subject: Enters

Watches the large herd from a distance, but does not reveal her presence.
The still young and small colt stays by her side - not sure of why she has stopped the journey, only knowing by instinct to stay close beside her and be still and silent. His coat is a beautiful, soft coated palomino, his limbs long and slender, promising him to be athletic in adulthood.
The mare continues to watch carefully.
There was safety in a large herd, although herself she never settled permanently, safety was what the young colt would need to survive to later life - and she was undecided of whether to seek settlement here, for his safety, or not.
Then as if reaching decision in the mind, she gives the young colt a nudge the flanks, and then moves into sight.
The young colt gives a spirited buck and begins to run over to the herd - inexperienced and not regarding the consequence there may be of his presence.
The mare snorts and stamps the ground quickly, calling the colt back over to her. She has made it clear that he was not yet to leave her side - at least not until she would know this herds reception to her presence - and so she stands beside him protectively, waiting for an approach.
