Imagine you had tickets to the hottest concert of the summer, and imagine you prized these tickets more than anything else. And imagine how you'd feel if your concert dreams were destroyed for the stupidest of reasons. It happened to more than 10,000 fans in Vancouver, when Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake’s concert was cancelled at the last minute on June 11th because of screw-ups at the border. The concert isn’t being re-scheduled; refunds are being issued, and the week after the cancellation I launched a petition to appeal to the record companies to try and re-connect Christina and Justin with their Vancouver-area fans.

Our goal is to collect as many signatures as possible and send a message to the record companies that we just won't accept cancellations and shoddy apologies. We'd love for the tour to come back to Vancouver, and would accept a smaller version of the concert. The petition can be found at www.petitiononline.com/BCtour/petition.html.

If you don't live in Vancouver but find yourself rooting for our cause, sign the petition anyway! It sends a message to the record companies and management that this shabby treatment is something none of us will tolerate. It might have been Vancouver this time, but it could just as easily have happened anywhere else.
