Hello,
hope u can give us some advice, we have been living in a brand new house for 3 years.
It started fairly quickly after we moved in, the first time we had an intense smell of burning, but both me and my husband smoke, so first of all we checked the cigarettes had been put out propaley , the next time it began at 1.30am, we was in bed and the smoke detecters started to go off, as u can imagine it, we were really scared, due to it being a new house, and thought it could be something with the wiring in the walls or something we could not see, as we had checked everything and unpluged everything. it would go off then just stopped, when we got back into bed, it just kept starting again, this kept happening, so I phoned the emergency line, they sent someone round the next day, to replace the smoke detecters, they tested the ones I had and phoned us back saying they could not find anything wrong with the ones we had.
The next thing was the knocking at the bedroom doors, we all was a sleep, I shouted for the children to enter, but the door never opened, so I got up thinking one of the girls was ill, at the same time my daughter opened her door and asked me why I was knocking at her door, which I replied I had not someone had knocked on our door.
The next morning my brotherinlaw who had been staying with us , came down, the girls had already had gone to school by then, and he asked my husband what he wanted in the night, because he also had knocking on the door, but he did not get up, due to he thought if we needed him we would have just gone in, he also said the knocking woke him up, but was to tired to get out of bed.
there has been a lot of other things, like shadows, cups swinging on the stand and just stopping, door handles being pulled tight so the girls could not get out of there rooms, doors swinging open, a feather duster the ones on long sticks, at top of stairs rolling down the stairs from top to bottom, as if it was just being played with.
There is a lot more, but we came back from holiday last week, and my oldest daughter bedroom door flew open, she said she saw something but cannot or was to scared as she kept crying out mummummum, my other daughter was a sleep in bed at the time but heard her sister crying out, so she tryed to get out of her room but said something was holding her back, I do try to look for other reasons why this is all happening, and other logic reasons, my youngest daughter will not go up stairs at night on her own, anymore.
I do try to tell them, what ever it is, it is not here to harm us, but on the other hand you hope that it will not, I even have tryed to make a joke out of it in the begining, so it would not scare them, but as time has gone on, I cannot explain for all the things that are happening, because we are the parents, and usualy being the parents your children think you know all the anwers, but I cannot give them the anwers anymore.
We have borrowed a digit camera of his brother, and have taken a lot of photos, I cannot say im excited with the out come, due to the fact things are showing up, but when you see normal ghost tv programms on tv, you see little obs, I have probably not spelt it right, please excuse me, these are not little, as I believed they would be, but are bigger and have a glow round the outside, we have taken more of the same place and they have moved or dissapeared, we have checked for dust, flashbacks all the things, you could come up with a reason for, but these are unexplained.
This is our home, but I am concerned for the girls, and how it is going to effect them in the long run.
So please if you can come up with any advice, I would be gladly to hear it
