I am hoping after boot camp it will be easier cause I can talk with him. ANy news info or just plain old communication people would like to share I would love to hear from you. Alice

Hi Alice, I have never been to this site before either but I am a Mom of a Marine-the oldest of my 3 sons. He is in Kuwait/Iraq at the moment-I am avoiding CNN as it is just too scary right now. I am very proud of my son,he has written that he is very confident that he and the other Marines have the best training in the world-he was in boot camp when 9-11 happened-he draws upon what he learned in boot camp all the time-it was a great time for him-he motivated himself by focusing on becoming better every day by doing whatever he was asked to the best of his ability and by imagining that each order was actually his own idea as a way to get stronger emotionally or phiysically-this worked-he graduated as series honor man and has exceled at every job he has had in the Marines since-it comforts me to know his mental and physical strength is extraordinary. Take Care, Laura
