Does anyone use this web site? I haven't found anyone on it chatting or supporting one another. I look for Marine Mothers to chate with. This is not the easiest thing to do send your son or daughter away for God knows how long. I thank God that there are kids like ours that are willing to defend this great country of ours.

My son, Brian who turned 19 in August, just enlisted in the marines. I am terrified for him. Being my only son, I can't imagine what it would be like for some of the other moms out there who have sons & daughters who have chosen this as a career. I amvery confused 7 not sure how to feel. Of course I didn't let my son know. When I started getting the info letters from the corp. It hurt, the try to play up how proud you will be of your son when he comes home, but I already was proud of him. I respect his choice to join, I just don't know how to get thru each day wondering how he's doing, what he's feeling, thinking, when will I get to see him again, ?????? My only other child, a daughter, just turned 18, & she's still in H.S., but when this year is over, I wonder what she will do? Well It helps to know there are other moms out there who might feel as I do and I can express my fears to. My husband tries to understand, but I guess it's a mom thing. I find myself talking to GOD a lot more than I use to. May he smile on all who serve.
