I should say this is all 'in my opinion'! ;)
I would assume you offer up that opinion to enlighten/sway/gather support (choose one). If the 'facts' you use to support that opinion aren't available to me, then one item I would use to validate the 'facts' is the source. If there is no source, and shaky 'facts', how much credibility would you place on the info?

You've chosen a sterling example! The appointment & donation are the checkable 'facts', and whether or not it is suspicious is up to the reader to decide. You've caused one to think.

If that were the type of anonymous posts so many are talking about, I don't think we'd be discussing this. We just proved we agree on which type of anonymous posts aren't causing the problem, I think the opposite would be true as well.

A bit overdramatic. I don't think anyone is trying toss Ammendments out. Since you brought it in though, The Constitution, as I understand it, does not guarantee immunity for ones comments or actions. I would like to think we as a community could have higher standards without digressing into legal battles.
