Hmmm, I don't believe that is a fair characterization. In the early to mid '80s the tollway ended before Beltline Road and anything north of Trinity Mills Road was the boonies. Development was much further south of here. There were some areas of growth this far north but most of them went bust in the late '80s.

I was in Addison then and was just beginning to understand what explosive growth means. During this same time, two mayors of Addison committed suicide while under investigation by the FBI. Frisco is still tame by comparison. You really don't want that kind of economy.
