John Andrews contributed $100 to my campaign. No-one else with a pro-airport stance contributed to my campaign. (Or at least they never said they were pro-airport.) In fact, the only contributor who had any stated opinion on the airport was John.

You think that one $100 contribution is enough to set my position on anything, let alone something as important as the airport? It will be interesting to see if you change your tune when your favorite candidate starts accepting thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from their supporters.

What? We wanted that nasty ol' ethics code so we could do what?

Who said I was afraid to get on a public MB? I don't believe I've ever said anything about being afraid. It saddens me to see people be so hateful to one another on message boards. It saddens me to think that some people's only exposure to Frisco is from what they read out on message boards and how mean-spirited they must think our community is. It saddens me to see how single-minded some of our citizens are. I'm not afraid. I've been afraid in my life. This is nothing compared to that.

But it is sad.

I continue to be open and willing to talk to any citizen who has questions or ideas or concerns. But based on my experience with message board behavior so far, I am doubtful that any productive, constructive conversation between me and a citizen can occur out here.

I hope to be proven wrong.

So far, it ain't lookin too good. And I've only been back out here for two days.

Still plugging away,
trac
