Subject: Scampering through the sand, the boy and his playmate encounter the beach.

His speech has a singsong to it, and he leaps across the sand in a fashion much akin to his orca cousins. The little spider monkey trills happily.

"Crate! We's king of de beaches! Hurrah!!" The little monkey squeaks and does a back flip, tottering easily on two hairy legs. "Now all's we gots to do is wait fer someone to come along so's we can turn 'em into workings." His almost guttural speech is punctuated by sonar type laughs as he tosses sand into the air.

Crate squeaks and tosses pawfuls of sand back at him.

Living with it all his life, he feels the sonar reach him faintly. Shading his eyes, he sees a familiar shape and smiles to himself. "Lookit Crate. 'Member mama used to hunt thems?" He murmurs to the monkey before loping down to the ocean. "I not as big as mama, my teeth aren't as sharp." He reaches a decision in himself, fingering the boarhide. "Hi out dere! Wann make friends? I'm Snatcher, who're you?" He shouts to the ocean in his own 'language' a mixture of oceanic vocabulary and human noise. (NT) -- Snatcher, 14:19:02 09/29/01 Sat
