Very important...Just as classroom teachers shift focus in their practice, we must shift our focus in technology just the same! WE strive to touch higher order thinking in all our lessons. Technology can get us there just the same! Remember, let's not lose sight that technology is another "tool" for learning. It can maximize learning if used correctly. Remember early on in our student teaching days when we bean our teaching practice? We all used those "cute" lessons mentioned in the previous threads. This is what gets us started and engaged. Then we learned how to shift that focus onto better teaching and really engaging our students in learning. TEchnology is still new to many teachers. They must begin with a "stepping stone" like those "cute" lessons. But it must not end there! Let's accept the fact that developing our technology skills will be an infinite process. It takes up a lot of our time and energy. In the end, we WILL take learning "TO THE MAX!". I think we all all in agreement with that!!!
