We have 2 parties to choose from in our small village.
There are many people who want to vote but they don't like who is running. The other choice is the no vote.
You sign the book and open the booth and don't vote for anyone and walk out.
I have only done is a few times in my life.
I think a little of each party is good. That way everyone has a chance.
That is how I think. How you think is up to you. The main thing is to get out and vote. Voting is our right. let's keep it.
Good luck to everyone running and voting.
Morgan

So the sheet stuck in the door from one of these just bashed
the other party. No Flowers in pots etc. taxes up etc.

as for taxes the Fed and State tax is being cut on the backs of the smaller taxing authorities , I can't blame the village for the tax increase or the other petty stuff in the hand out.

I don't know ALL the DETAILS of why the water front is on hold so some here say.

What was the cause of missing some deadline , the FACTS only
please.

The parking lot was completed near the RR station.

When I first started this site, I was thinking that long lost friends could find each other or new comers would ask questions. I was very surprised to find out how politically interested some of us are.
In the beginning I was very upset by it because it did not go the way I planned it. After time I see this is what the community wants. Right or wrong people can come here and post. There are about 6 regulars that post here.
It is nice to see how people care.
I am happy to see the fence going up along the docks. I am glad life will come back here. This area has been so awful for years down here.
Flower pots? I don't know I never got a note slipped under my door. I will say that flowers add beauty. I can't have flower pots here because people might throw them in the water. I hope that will change.

small triangle in front of Goldies.

Now ever since Goldies put up the Republican Sign last year I don't shop there any more, And I moved the boat from Davison's for the same reason.

I would like to know why one party has two people running and the other party has three?
I really hate to say this but I don't know who I voted for. I am sorry I don't keep up on who's who.
I did vote.
The other thing is how do I know who won?

The Pride Party ran a candidate for Village Justice, while the Unity Party chose not to run anyone at all for the position of Justice. Both parties ran 2 candidates each for the 2 trustee spots available.

East Rockaway Unity Party trustee candidates Jack Tobin and Morgan Williams-Avila were defeated by Village Pride candidates, incumbent Bruno Romano and Irene Villacci.

Malverne

Incumbent Trustees Joseph Hennessy, 62, of the Village Party, and Patricia Norris-McDonald, 42, of the Independent Party, defended their seats against Andrew Chernoff, 44, of the Malverne Preservation Party.

Lynbrook

Dave Penso, 52, of the Lynbrook Reform Party, challenged incumbent Morrey Forman, 63, and Richard J. Clifford, 46, both on the Independent Party line, for a four-year term as trustee. As of late Tuesday night results were still pending.

Why the green team lost in my opinion.I did vote for the Unity Party.
Not that this is true of the Unity Party but the color green
is also the Green Party and Green Peace. Some people unknowingly might think it is related. I don't think it is but some people might.
Next the choice not to run some one for a open office looks very bad. It looks like there are not even people in the party. People are attracted to large groups.
The signs although full of heart and soul were not neat enough for the minds of most.
I am a artist and I don't really care if any of the signs are neat but most people think neat is good.If it is going to be on the lawn it must look good in their eyes.
I am just a person passing by and looking. I know little about who is who but I did vote for the Unity Party. If you want to come by and throw rocks at my house go ahead.
