Subject: Extra wide feet

I have extremely wide feet. They measure six inches wide from my big to my little toe and I can only wear shoes made by the local hospital. Does anyone know wear I can get a pair of football boots made? I love football but it's not so easy to play the game with orthapedic boots on.

Steve, so sorry to hear about your problem. I have wide feet too. I always wanted to play the piano but I found I get pressing both pedals at the same time. Have you ever considered having a go at swimming? I took it up two years ago. I couldnt believe how fast I could swim with feet shaped like large canoe paddles. I would like to hear how you get on. my Brother also has feet as wide as yours. He used to play alot of football. Do you have alot of hanging flesh either side of your little and big toes? He did. He had plastic surgery to re-arrange his feet and went from size 19 to 8 in six weeks. Failing that you could always fold the hanging bits under your foot and wear insoles. It's marvelous what can be done these days, I hope you can get your foot in the door of a good Doctor and nail him down for some good advice.
