I decide to train Coco In The SummerTime today. I have to start from the beginning since she is only a year. So I grab a foal halter and go into her stall. I let her sniff it for a few minutes. I try to slip it over her head but she throws her head back. So I start over. I let her sniff it, try to slip it over her head and this time I got it over her nose and latched! So I slowly clip a lead shank on and open the stall door VERY CAREFULLY! She is cautious to come out. She skitters out the door. My arm is yanked up by the strength of her. She is alert for a while. We go out to the ring and I decide to let her get used to it. So we walk around for awhile. I decide to try and lunge her. She does okay on the walk, so I thought *alright, I'm going to try a trot*. So I snapped the whip lightly, but of course that freaked her out, so she bucked majorly for about 5 minutes. When she calmed down, I started her walking again, instead this time, to get her to trot, I clucked. She did really well! So I decided that was enough getting freaked out tonight so I put her away. Because she had white lather coming down her neck. So I gave her some hot bran mash. I put the halter and lead shank away. Then I fed the rest of my horses.
