Subject: hair metal oh boy

OK...i just wrote a super long message and before i could send it, AOL decided it was time to kick me off.
So, what i was saying was that yes, hair metal is stupid. It's sooo stupid. But that's why i like to listen to it. It's funny. I really do love songs like "Fallen Angel" and "Don't know what you got" by Poison and Cinderella respectively. It reminds me of when i was in second grade (now, you figure out how old i am) and watched MTV all day and loved all that shit. Those songs are catchy as balls though, there's no denying it. But just watch "Decline of Western Civ. Part 2" and you see how fucking lame it all was. Megadeth comes on at the end and just makes all these weak ass bands look even weaker. I mean, i don't care for Megadeth, but at least they weren't hairsprayin' pretty boys.
I was thinking, these guys must fucking hate Nirvana. I mean, maybe Taimie Downe of Faster Pussycat was cooking some dinner and he had MTV on and he heard the infamous first chords of "Smells Like Teen Spirit." He walks over to the TV and says, "Look at these guys! They've got no style, you can;t understand the vocals, the guitars are to distorted...they'll never make it!" A year late, Taimie's working at Oil Express trying to figure out where it all went wrong.
We can thank Kurt and the boyz for that. But hair metal is funny to me and it's funny partly because it still pisses people of. Try playing GNR at a college radio station. People actually get mad!! What the fuck?! Humorless bastards. Just because some of us would rather listen to "Rocket Queen" than some weak ass indie band is no need for people to get flustered. It's all a joke! Music that is. Music is a fucking joke. At least, hair metal is. And that's why it appeals to me.

OK, i understand that people may not like the new AC/DC single, but i do and i'm still gonna buy the album and tell everyone how it is.

So the moral is...hair metal is funny, but we don't need hair metal bands reuniting. That's not very funny. Poison is the best. As far as real metal, we'll that's not funny. That is tops.
