I was with the 62nd from early '69 to early '70. I think my unit was the 528th mt co. At first I fixed typwriters and was the only such mechanic at the site. Several Army trained mechanics transferred in with higher rank then a civilian trained guy like me. So I got out of that job.
After that I had a couple of other possitions. First, I was a company clerk of some sort for a short period of time. But for most of my tour I was the Technical Librarian and Production Clerk for the electronics shop.
I wonder, were you in the 62nd when the Technical Library and shop took a near direct hit from a 122 mm rocket?
