I WAS IN C BTRY 1/8 ARTY FROM SEPT 66 TO SEPT 67. I DID A SHORT STINT AS A FO WITH BRAVO CO 1/5(MECH)INFANTRY, BUT MOST OF MY TOUR WAS IN THE FIRE DIRECTION CENTER. I FINALLY GOT TO THE WALL IN WASHINGTON D.C. 35 YEARS LATER. IT WAS TRULY A TOUCHING EXPERIENCE FOR NOT ONLY ME BUT MY OLDEST SON. IT WAS VERY COMPORTING TO NOT FIND THE NAMES OF ANY OF MY COMRADES I LEFT BEHIND WHEN I ROTATED BACK.
