His quiet was calming, he didn't feel the need to fill the silence with useless words. Mellony was very much of hte mind to not say anything unless it was important. And yes, this was important, but actions spoke louder than words. The soft mattress shifted as he settled onto it, putting her against him more firmly. Of course, she didn't mind at all. her gaze landed upon his own, and she watched him silently, scrutinizing the color of his eyes in the dark as best she was able. Focusing on one point helped calm her, and her shaking stopped as he leaned in to kiss her. She turned her torso toward him, for a better angle, and laid one had flat against his chest, the soft fabric of his shirt the only barrier between their skin.

Her heart began to hammer hard inside her chest, her muscles tightening with the signals her brain was giving them... time for some fun! Mellony recognized the heavy weight in her stomach for desire, and pulled away from the kiss. She may have wanted to continue, but she wasn't certian of Jayne, and the fact that he was drunk meant he wouldn't have as much controll over himself as he normally would. She wasn't willing to take that risk.

Swallowing hard, she blinks her eyes back into focus, a slight scowl on her features as her eyes adjusted once more to the dark. She flashed a quick smile at him, and pulled far enough away to slip beneath the covers. She snuggled into the warmth of her bed before turning expectantly to Jayne, watching him curiously.
