Good luck. I love puppies, they are so sweet and cuddly, but unfortunately like children they grow. Unlike some children they can be trained to behave, and they don't play the piano (correction, they don't thump the piano)(I do wish his parents would send him for lessons instead of thinking that he will learn unaided)(don't mind me, it's just that the maestro next door is plonking away). We have been having a dog at work over the past few weeks, belonging to the boss, and mostly alsatian. She is gorgeous, very friendly, about 2-3 years old and wants to be friends with everyone. As soon as she hears any patients in the reception area she bounds out to say hello and let them pat her. They have been known if they are going out on a 5 mile walk with the physio to ask if she can go too. She loves it.
