I saw a fuzzy blob. Bloody clouds!

It always seems to be the same. Whenever there's supposed to be a spectacular meteor shower we have clouds. Sometimes it rains as well just to really rub it in.

Still, I have a bigger sky in my big garden since we dismembered a large and formerly beautiful copper beech that mysteriously died branch-by-branch over the last two years. Last summer it looked like a remnant of winter while everything around it was blooming. We took it apart with handsaws last Tuesday. A day's work for me and my two sons. I'll post some photies.

We left a stump about six feet tall. I think it will look good with one of those creepers that thrive on dead wood. Anybody know what they are so I can try and get some seeds or shoots? I'm not much of a gardener really but I'm going to give it a better go this year.

BB
