Gilly, we were back in Scotland for the whole month of May this year and it was sooo bloomin cold, got down to zero quite a few nights and I was out for my morning run in Paisley and the grass was white with frost I got back to the hotel in my shorts and singlet, frozen stiff and the desk clerk was laughing his head off when I came up to the desk where I had left my key and I was almost blue, and it only got up to about 11 or 12c on a lot of the days, got one day it got to 18c but the wind chill factor made it feel colder... driving up to Inverness it was so cold we didn't want to get out of the car, could not handle a 6 or 7 month stretch with temps so low Brrrrr....Xmas eve in Melbourne and it is to be 26c today .... magic...Down south where you are you do get warmer weather, we could see that on the TV weather forecast when we were there, was warmer down in London and southern England..
