It was your typical dormroom, filled with junk from school events, a desk and high tech computer crammed in along with a single bed and a closet that was practically exploding with all of her clothing. The floor was littered in clothes, her gym bag, cosmetics strewn across the cluttered space. Also littered throughout the room, pictures of the inhabitant of this room, her cocoa skin contrasting with the latino features of a fairly attractive young man, their bright eager faces crammed into the lens of a camera together, laughing, smiling.

  He was stripped down to a pair of paint splashed jeans that hung low on his hips, his skin bronzed and toned, his muscle evident, putting together a new wardrobe his parents had bought for them, their stuff being packed into drawers and suitcases up until then. He was really enjoying this new adventure, no matter the difficulties. Now school was out for the summer he was having a couple of weeks break before starting his contract witht he local football team, all sponsored and such, they would be more than comfortable if they kept their outgoings in check.

She was getting larger and larger as time went on and it was frustrating her to no end, not to mention causing difficulties for her tiny body that never seemed as though it would ever be fit or the right size for having a baby.   With the help of charlie he'd managed to get everything moved over and the girls had been shopping, and Malia had seen the perfectly decorated if modest little apartment in all its new glory for the first time. They'd just said goodbye to Aly and Charlie who only lived across the hall, and he stood for the first time since moving in and took a good look around their new home. He was excited at the prospect of everything they had to come- he had a plan in his mind of how it would work and things were back on track now.   She was definitely starting to expose her pregnancy - there was only so much that creative clothing could cover up and then you were the talk of the campus. She didn't mind so much. Her hormones seemed to be evening out somewhat and she was having a much easier time coping with things. There was the occasional bad day when she wouldn't even get out of bed, but things were working out alright on a general scheme. She was busy piling her things into boxes, preparing for the move. They'd found a small, modest apartment to move into, and where she was starting to get big, figured they had better jump the lease when they could, before they were down to the last minute before the baby was born, still trying to find somewhere to live. It would be easier this way too - settling in and figuring out what it was like to live with one another before adding a baby and more stress to the mix. She pressed a kiss to the nose of a stuffed animal and then tossed it in the top of the box, closing up the top flaps and taping it shut. She had her hair pulled into a messy ponytail atop her head, wearing a pair of second hand maternity overalls with a bit of belly peeking out on the sides and a long sleeved tee - she was always cold and now was no different, though school was drawing to a close.

  • He was getting pretty excited about the whole thing... not only had they got the lease but he;d been in with Alysia and Charlie and redecorated and re-furbished the whole place. He'd already packed all his stuff and moved it over, he wasn't living their yet but he might as well be. His parents were getting on board witht he whole baby thing two. His dad was a little disappointed to begin with but he was coming around now. Danny had been able to work something out witht he coach and his professors. He'd finish this year and then be able to spend the summer working for the Dragons football team and they would sponsor him to finish his degree. He got paid a good amount for being signed with them and he'd have plenty of time to study and to spend with Mali and the baby when it came.   He lead her in, his arm curled around her shoulders, a pizza box in his other hand. They'd dropped by for some take out on the way back form her mothers, some consolation perhaps. The afternoon with her parent's hadn't gone as she had hoped he knew- but it had kinda gone how he'd expected it to. her dad had been pretty quiet about it all while he was left alone with him, he'd seen Isaiah's disappointment and it had dampened even Danny's spirits. He'd always gotten along well with Isaiah- gone to ball games even... he hated to disapoint anyone but he wouldn#'t compromise what he had with Malia for anyone- nor would he forsake his morals.   She was spending an increasing amount of time stowed away in her dorm - not much for social events any longer, she even had a difficult time hauling herself out of bed for rehearsals and classes - she was just thankful that this production would be going on stage soon enough and then she could rest.   Thus far she'd been able to keep everything fairly secret - though her typically playful and outgoing demeanor had been dampened, most of her friends chalked it up to the stress of third year and the production that was coming up, auditions against the best of the best and all that sort of thing. She had, however, been sick on and off, and had weighed herself this morning, only to find that she'd already gained five pounds - her eating habits were out of control and she felt like she was coming apart at the seams. She'd paged Danny, and now she lay on her back, a fleece blanket pulled up to her chin, fat salt laden tears rolling down her cheeks onto the pillow and into her ears.

  She'd very nearly collapsed in the doctor's office when he'd returned the results to them - what she'd suspected all along was true, confirmed, and absolutely a million times more terrifying now that it was in black and white. She leaned heavily on Danny's arm as he brought her to the door. She'd spent the entire car ride in silence and was silent still - her mind working furiously over exactly what this meant for her - the productions next year, she couldn't stay in her dorm room with a baby... extra costs and trying to go to school.
