Unaware of the turn of events that would unravel here
Forever changing my age of innocence and naivet�

The raven flew over at seven o clock tonight
While I laid on my back staring at the stars
It interrupted my tranquility and shattered my isolation

I felt your presence in the vast darkness
Before I could see your outline lit up by the stars
In my own stupidity I let you lay beside me
Reveling in the warmth and false security you bestowed upon me

It started with a curious touch
Testing the waters before you dove in
My ocean ran deep and still that night
And I tried to deny the upset you created by your simple existence

Your hands traveled over me
In the valleys and hills
Like the streets of San Francisco
Native to my every curve and angle
You navigated yourself like a seaman
Connecting the constellations remembering its path well traveled

You realized with one look in my eye
That the candy you had been savoring
Was a cheap substitute for the endeavor you just embarked on?
Unsure of the path yet knowing the ending
You took your time rediscovering every emotion and feeling
You once took advantage of.

You were the Neptune of my sea
Ruling like a roman god
I observed you aqueous garden
And was tempted to dance withal
To let this dangerous utopia be my playground again

In a war with my own conscience and emotion
I saw smoke signals in the darkened sky
And felt the world spin round us
Orbiting and keeping us forever in this moment
For once I let the scenery fly by
And let fate take its course
In the grass soaked with dew
Under the silvr�y glow of the stars
With the waves churning inside of me.
Settling when you looked into my eyes.
