Subject: Finally Free (oops.....use this one please)

Hidden from the light, I wander in the dark
With a visible protrusion of a knife in my heart
Lie after lie woven into a gigantic tapestry
Covering the truth held deep inside of me

Vanity and pride were never mine
Each day I see my self esteem decline
Forever locked in the ice, I will remain frozen
A cold, frigid life is what I have chosen

Though crawling on my belly like a serpent
For all my grievous sins it�s too late to repent
I am now marred with an ugly character flaw
Having been blessed with a lousy luck of the draw

I live my life like a celebrated fraud
If you heard the truth, you�d stand silently awed
These black, ominous shadows are not alien
They�re just another sighting of the darkness within

Come here and look deeply into my eyes
Try to look past all the rubbish and lies
Keep reaching ever further down into my soul
To where the colossal hurt seems to build and grow

The five of swords card is revealed to me
An indicator of a life of discord and hostility
Without a subpoena I would willingly testify
That day after day a little piece of me will die

Maybe to England I could try to flee
Spend all my days just quietly sipping tea
But I know that the hurt will just tag along
It shall be with me til my days on earth are gone

So, on the day that I draw my last breath
I will achieve some peace when claimed by death
The epitaph on my tomb shall simply read
Here I lie, finally free
