Found your web site through a yahoo list I am on. I used to board my 3 horses at a barn that sounds very similar. So here is my story.
The guy's name is Dan he and his friend????? (Susan) are training Arabians you know. She rode "A circuit" a couple years ago in NY and won everything(yeah Sure! Then why can't you remember the name of the show grounds???). Dan rode bareback broncs in the Rodeo out in Texas. (This is an excellent background for training Arabs...)NO they are not having an affair ...they are running a business training Arabians(that's why they spend so much time alone in the hay barn counting hay you know). They are training one right now ( one very old Arab-at least 20 years old- his age changes every time you talk to them). Oh yeah he is a rescue too(Rescued from retirement in a 20 acre pasture to be brought to a boarding barn with a 3 acre pasture with no grass). Go figure that one???????? One day Dan says this horse is lame(Truth is the horse bucked him off>>). Dan says the horse has strained his knee and it is all swollen. Dan asked me and a friend to look at it and see what we thought (dear god he wants our opinion the world must be coming to an end). Well as Dan points out his knee we about fell out laughing he was pointing at the horse's elbow (the first joint past the shoulder/joint right below the girth area). Well after close examination (there was nothing visibly wrong with the horse) we decided it was best not to say anything about his mistake but recommended he consult with his business associate. Needless to say we got laughs out of that for weeks. I kept saying "Geeze I bumped my knee!" and my friend would grab my elbow and say "Hey I can fix that!" I apologize if this lost it's humor in the long story/.....
Wishing you the best!
Horsey Hugs to the kids!
