you shouldn't do much more than trot on that leg.. it'll take longer to heal the more activity you do on it.

[looks at her firmly, then his face breaks into a mischievious smile. suddenly, he is gone.. just, gone. it was as if he had disappeared into thin air, and as the mare looked about frantically, there is an echoing voice in her ear.]

[when she stops seeking him, the voice speaks again, and she recognizes it as his.]

this is why my name is what it is. i can change forms volunteerily, becoming a mere apparition, a ghost.

[there is the sound of galloping hooves, and they get farther away from her. they stop after a couple seconds, and a few moments later, the chestnut stallion appears from the trees. he smiles, waiting for her reaction.]
