Hey. Figured I'd tweak it a bit and see what people think. Let me know.

To our brothers and sisters,
The world�s fantastic advances in technology have created a new world with all the tools to instantly unite people across any distance, but in this world remain the old hatreds and destructive patterns that use the very same advances to fuel a horrific cycle of violence. While the horrors are all too visible in the suffering of the victims of terrorism, the positives of our interconnected world are often overlooked and underused. It is about time that we came together as a people, as a single human race that stands united for the goal of peace and understanding. The events of September 11th have awoken many to the dire consequences of allowing hate and confusion dictate events. Now is the time to come together for a better future. Our organization, Active People of the International Community, was created with the idea of bringing together groups across dividing lines to show support for basic human principles. The ultimate goal of such unity is an agreement to work towards establishing a just peace. As such, APIC is not allied with any specific political agenda, party, religion, or nation. We do not stand for anything but humanity.

What we are requesting from YOU is your support, and the support of ANY other individuals that you can get to collaborate for our cause that will help to bring people together. We can get back to you with more details, but, for now, we need to know that APIC is supported. The first step is simply creating a dialogue and letting our leaders know that we expect them to act in the interest of all the people involved in their decisions. We will present more information as is available. Any feedback, suggestions, or any other signs of interest are intensely appreciated.
