Personally, I support this action. I would be more apprehensive had I not heard of the emergency aid program to the Afghan people that is coupled with these strikes. Yes, blowing up training camps is of little effect but taking out the Taliban's air defenses are a must to allow humanitarian aid drops. It is vital that we reach the people suffering and a concentrated, long term rebuilding would be almost impossible under the Taliban, in my opinion. Although it would be more inflammatory to say so, the objective seems to be to end the Taliban's stranglehold on the Afghan people to allow us to ensure that the activities within the nation willno longer pose a threat to us.

I would have preferred a broader coalition, possibly working through the UN, but odds are that would be rather ineffective in the short term. Hopefully, thats the path this will take after the initial military action.
