Subject: Future of Solomon Islands: Memo

Solomon Islands, a small country of collective small Islands scattering thousands of kilomenters located North East of Australia, and sanwiched between Papua New Guinea and Fiji. Since Independence in July 1998, the country experience economic hardships, ethnic turbulent co-existence, and battel against the rise in the sea level, but the hope for a better future is at stake since June 2000. The sins of the British colonial power come alive, and the citizens rise up to claim their lost right, and the government finds it hard to contain its citizens, and now a foreign intervention is proposed to cure the situation. But is it a good idea or a bad idea to bring in soldiers from Australia to fight our war? What happen to a country once ruled by England and now seeks Australian's help? what is the future of the sovereignty of our Solomon Islands? where are we going from here? and what are our chances of returning to the old Solomon Islands we use to know? These are questions that most people ask about the current situation in Solomon Islands, but before the present and the future are discussed, lets see where we go wrong.
