: ~ peeking about the Hall...seeing no Frees about...scampering to the servery to prepare dinner...tossing long sable locks behind her ~

: ~ thinking sullage would be welcome on this freezing winter day...snagging a large iron pot from the dry storage closet...hanging the pot above the flames of the firepit...ladling in fresh spring water from the water barrell...heaving open the wooden door of the chillery...gathering the chicken carcass as well as the vegetables...placing the chicken carcass in the pot...setting the veggies on the counter ~

: ~ filling a basin with a bit of water...piling the veggies in to soak for a moment...scrubbing the suls, kes and carrots clean of soil....adding them to the soap...also adding kes and onions...breaking off dried herbs to season the sullage parsley, thyme, basin and tarragon...grinding in some salt and pepper...leaving the broth to boil then simmer for long hours ~

: ~ taking the water basin in both small hands...unlatching the outside door...peering warily outside...tossing the dirty water into the snow...securing the door before placing the basin onto the counter for later use...wiping the wooden counter clean...after quite a few hours have gone by she enters the servery again to inhale the delicious smell...using a pair of tongs she removes the vulo carcass...placing it in the bucket for the sleens ~

: ~ rehanging the tongs...wrapping long fingers around a long-handled wooden spoon...stirring the mixture throughly...leaving it to simmer some more...hoping the family enjoys the sullage...padding to the Great Hall hearth for a time ~
