^By the time he had gotten mid-way to the canyon, and it became more clear to him that the commotion he had sensed from his hideaway was located here, he broke out in a run. Assuming that it was only one wolf against one coyote. He heard the barks and growls, assuming they were already close to fighting. He leapt over a small bush, not taking the time to go around it-what he saw as he appeared on the scene took him back by surprise. Immediately upon going over the shrub he slammed his feet down, skidding to a stop, making a large dust cloud waft up in front of him. What he thought to be a one-on-one attack appeared to be a three-on-one attack. One wolf in hasty persuit of the coyote, which he quickly classified as a coyote in Corin's clan, Natish. Another wolf was standing back with an enraged scowl, and another wolf with a sadened, yet determined expression. Even he knew his limits. There was no way he would be able to take on these wolves, and win. He stood there, muscles locked in place as he stood his ground, looking back and forth between the two wolves standing near the rock, and the other chasing Natish, wondering what he should do, or most importantly, what they would do...^
