Subject: Dog in a Wolfs Body...

-The young wolf stumbled onto these lands, but by luck. He sighed as he sat down to look around, his brown eyes scanning the vast mass of trees, shrubs, and other objects that surrounded him. This land...this territory, this lifestyle was all so unfamilar with him. Since he was barely two weeks old, this wolf had been in the care of humans 24/7. He and his older brother were taken from their wild-wolf lifestyle, to be brought up by humans, and put on display in a zoo. They grew up trusting in humans, depending on them, and even bonding with some of them. Then, one day, as they were being transported to a different zoo across the state, the truck in which they were being carried in crashed. The wreck was devastating, with no survivors...that is, except Jet. Crawling from out of the wreckage a few hours later, disoriented and cut up in a few places, at least he was still alive. That accident occured exactly a week and a half ago from today, and everything was still fresh in his memory. Now the real test would begin...could he survive out here?? Since he'd been raised by humans all his life, human care and pampering was all he knew. He didn't know how to hunt, for he was used to being fed on a daily basis by their caregivers. Fighting for ranks, mates, whatnot, was a useless skill where he was, because it was only him and his brother in the pen. He knew nothing...as far as being a wild wolf, he was more like a house dog in a wolven body. Again the question arose in his mind-would he survive out here? How would he?!...His stomach growled with pangs of hunger, having not eaten in almost two weeks, and he was quenched with thirst. His muscles and body stung and ached from cuts and bruises he'd recieved after the wreck. Oh how he longed to be back where he was...lounging about with his brother, watching all the humans walking by, adoring and admiring them. He sighed and shook the thoughts out of his mind. Suddenly he gasped as he spotted a lake in front of him. It was like an answer to his prayers! Slowly walking down towards the water, his body seeming to ache with every step he took. Suddenly he slipped on the mud about halfway down, and skidded down on his side to the water, letting out a whimper as he fell. With the lower part of his body in the water, he sighed, and just layed there, in the mud and water. Not having the energy to get up...and having almost lost the will to live. Would this be the end to this young wolfs life??-
