Gahhh, I've just been checking the maps to refresh my memories.
So far I prefer Cuband Dawn, followed by Severnaya. IM is high poly and will be a nightmare to defend for both teams. Expect dead from above.
Quick thoughts:
Severnaya:
- lots of dead ends and thus lots of ambushings possible (Lamer, that's your speciality). Toss a coin to choose the correct corridor while defending. Once someone has a contact and is not seen or killed tango, advise asap. Check that your binds are close enough to do so.
- move the lest possible, be discreet. The map is rather small and anyone can hear you fairly quickly.
- one easy spot to defend: the helipad but it is a redspawn. I hope the random thingy will work well.
- expect nade fest in purpose of room clearing => on this subject, lots of ppl die or are tked by own nades. If they play this tactic, fall back and let them wound/kill themself. Take some provisions too but use them mainly on attack (if we have to attack the helipad). Staying/ambushing rooms may be a bad idea coz of nades. Cover corridors instead or lean from the room entrance to the exception of the main hangar that access to the helipad (many places to hide there).
- I THINK crates are not sissy ones but only tested it with M3 against bots. If someone can check/confirm this.
- Avoid being one upon another. Spread to the max because of nades... Altough a mate can sometimes makes a valuable cover. :p
- I fear some blind capture on this map. Be carefull where you spawn your flag!
Can't think much of it right now.
Industrial Mayhem:
- it will be a nightmare for both teams in defense. If you flag spawn, run for map's borders, prefer corners.
- catwalks and more catwalks not to mention you can jump on some roofs, dead from above will be the word. These catwalks are plain unlike Kazakhstan but they are not armored. So better quiet if you have a tango nearby you can't see, he will hear you.
- there are 2(?) streets, interesting to go to the end and spot ennemies crossing the map but to the exception of one or 2 ends, you can be overrun quite quickly.
- there are so may passageways, catwalks, entrances, etc, it will be hard to know where the ennemy will come from if not from all directions at the same time. On some spots, it could be possible to see tangos coming from left/right/front/up/down (some small tunnels) or left up, etc,...
- they'll prolly post marksmen on high ground (roofs, crates on catwalks) in defense as well as in attack (just for you Dap :p).
- using nades here may be a risky business. Use them with care and let the ennemy abuse them if needed.
- the map is big and maze-like (more than Severnaya). Expect marauding Dukes and Bunnies flanking you all the time. I think Kaoh may be the marksman here, just a guess but expect him abushing you sadistically. Same for Aegis and DaBlade but prolly on iron sights.
- I only see one use for nade launcher here, to clean streets ends and some roofs... Unless you use your nade launcher like a God. I may be wrong.
- these both maps will require reflexes.
