I stumbled upon Triangle and Robert the other day. I read the ending first, and it inspired and intrigued me enough to read the rest of it. I have to say that Triangle and Robert is one of the most unconventional and interesting comics to ever grace the 'net. Other comics try for nerd humor, but none of them ever existed in such a fascinatingly random yet coherent world. Now that I've read all the way to the end, I feel this elation and ... I don't know how to describe it... expanse of soul? Enigmatic inspiration, definitely... I think all good endings should give you that feeling, when everything is tied together perfectly. I felt the same after reading the ending of Lord of the Rings.

Ironically, or perhaps fittingly, the lack of attempts at drawing the settings or details made this even more real to me. It's much the same way that novels can be more involving than watching a TV show. TV just leaves no room for imagination, whereas in a novel you must imagine everything except the words on the page. The visual continuity of the comic perhaps makes up for the literary discontinuities ^_~ I can imagine Triangle and Robert as actual people, even though they are simply drawn as a collection of line segments, but they are drawn the same way each time. I think no matter what quality something is drawn in, it's the writing that carries the soul of the characters... and your writing is very good.

The only negative thing about it was that near the end it became the plot became too self-analytical and not enough action. But, even the characters pointed this out and got things started again.

Anyway, witty, inspiring, and all-around wonderfully wrought. I've mentioned this comic quite frequently to my friends since I discovered it. (The wisdom of Cuisine Magic is oh so unique and interesting!) Even though The Cartoonist has left the world of Polygons alone, his legacy carries on! Thanks for such an inspiring contribution to the world of science fiction =)
