That is a very interesting observation (and it is very nifty), but actually the Greeks believed that there was a fifth element, ether, which is what the stars and other heavenly bodies were made of. The five elements were equted with the five platonic solids (being the only regular polyhedrons) as follows:

Tetrahedron <---> Fire
Cube <---> Earth
Icosahedron <---> Water
Octahedron <---> Air
Dodecahedron <---> Ether
