Food groups can neither be created nor destroyed... merely changed from one form to another, with a slight loss to heat determined by the effeciency coefficent "!€"

So perhaps there was another group without a sentry, that existed in another form (say... talcum powder perhaps, or hydrogen sulphide, or bombay bad-boy pot noodles), and now that the Additive group has swung into being (for that is surely what Mr Disease is, the Additive Sentry) we can see the effects.
