The Armory

The armory is a large stone building, larger than the cabin next to it and usually echoing with the metallic clangs of a hammer against metal. A wooden sign depicting a crossed sword and battle axe hangs over the large twin wooden doors which stand open, allowing the heat to flow from the building and cooling the room inside. A fire crackles, temporarily unused in the forge, the smoke winding up the stone chimney , a large pair of bellows suspended from the celing and fixed twoard the fire. Tools for all uses line the walls, most scorched or disfigured from the heat. An anvil sits upon a large block next to the forge and a table lies a good distance from the fire, layed out with the tedious tools and materials for the more intricate work of assemballing armor and mail.

Along the wall near the door hangs a number of finished items, gleaming swords, axes, daggers, arrowheads and armor lay on display, although they are unsharpenend and of lesser quality. After all.. who would leave such valuables out for convienence to thieves? A few horseshoes lying in a crate show that the armory also serves as a blacksmith, making horseshoes and other metal items to those who need it.
Lying off the side of the main room is a small living area, with a seperate small wooden door leading outside.
Prices vary.. the pre-made items are certainly cheaper but of lesser value to those who intent them for serious use. The personalized weaponry is exact, made for the hand which will weild it, or the armor for the one who shall wear it, though the prices reflect this.

Knives - 45s
Arrowheads - 5s each
Full Chainmail Suit - 25 gold pieces (1250s) (smaller 'patch' pieces available)
Full Suit of Armor - custom made, price upon request
Helmets - 10 gold pieces (500s)
Horseshoes - 3 shillings a foot, includes trimming
Tools/Misc. - varies, price upon request.
