Ignoring the stinging sensation in the shallow cut, she parries the dagger swing with her blade, blinking hard to keep her eyes from going bloodshot and becoming beserk. To her great surprise, her opponent's footpaw kicks out, and the squirrel suddenly flies through the air, landing on her back. Standing over her, Kalear hesitates, considering her next move. Then, she backs off, giving the squirrel room to stand.*
