Sorry, Colin, I have to disagree with you on this one. Poly did not look overly impressive versus CSF. The 1st half was especially of concern. Poly shot just 31% (9 of 29). Against any of the upper eschelon in the Big West, Poly would have been down by 20-30 points.

The 2nd half was MUCH better and the way the Mustangs should play against one of the worst D-I teams in the country. Schilling was impressive the entire game. His attacking of the basketball at both ends was an eye opener. Johnson also looked good, especially in the 2nd half, as did most of team. However, the 1st half was not a good one. I guess we can chalk it up to the fact that this team had not played together expect for the LMU game. They will need some time to work up some chemistry. Luckily, Poly opened the conference with CSF and UCR. One other thing, it looks like Varnie's health will be a big concern the rest of the year. He just doesn't seem to have his normal jump. We really need a healthy Dennis to compete with the top teams.
