Continuous threads are the only way to go.

What do you mean exactly? After all these years on these boards (much prior to applying at Poly actually--I remember telling Stangman I was going to do that in about six months) this is the format I like the best. Not surprisingly it's how we set up the Locos board....

You can see the entire thread from the index and also read the entire thread with one click. I don't like just being able to see the top post since threads certainly change topics as they evolve. Colin (this is sort of in response to your newest posts) are you sure there's no way to show threads from the outset with phpBB?

Anyway, I don't mean to sound like a broken record--it's just my strong preference.

Have you checked with Insiders?

I've tried to contact them re: options when this board was created (so did BMF) and also recently re: a Gaucho site. They have been less than receptive and last time didn't even get back to me. I've heard rumors that they're in financial trouble (just like Rivals was) so perhaps they aren't interested in taking on sites that might not have massive traffic.

Another problem with having a site in those networks is they want new stories posted all the time. I'm not sure who here on the board would be able to do that.
