Subject: Nice Going Stang Baseball

Too bad the Stangs lost 2 games at Nebraska, however, they kind of made up for it with a 4 game sweep of Southern Utah...Yawn!

Highlighting the So. Utah series would have to be the first game during which the Stangs won 22-1. They then followed that game with a 7-0 no hitter in which two Poly pitchers combined to shut down the Thunderbirds.

The amusing stat of the series occured in the game in which Poly's pitchers picked-off 5 Thunderbirds. Three of whom were picked-off by Poly's starter. What the heck was So. Utah's first base coach thinking?

In any event, the Stangs are finally home and open the Big West on Friday against Riverside. With any luck, this team could make the playoffs and go to the NCAA Regionals. However, Fullerton looks as powerful as ever as they opened the season by crushing Stanford.
